Should be very usable. I actually prefer my Duo 280c (33mhz '040) to my 2300c (100mhz 603e) because in lots of ways the 68k feels a lot "snappier". It should work fine for note taking, WPing, older games, even some internetting. Especially if you can get a battery working for it.
