It's a fairly powerful little machine...it could do just about all of 
that without the PPC upgrade.

There's one not so little thing about the 500 series...they're *heavy*, 
almost 6.5 pounds, especially if you stick both batteries into it, and 
lug along a AAUI tranciever to get it connected to Ethernet, and the 
powerbrick (because the batteries won't last all that long, as old as 
they are) This may well limit it's portablity.
