While the 500s aren't light they ARE small. One disadvantage to big screens
is that they need bigger bags and more room; a 500 series can be chucked
into just about any bag. I dragged my 540c off to a meeting a couple of days
ago to take notes and my business partner's 14" TFT Dell looked positively
huge in comparison.

The trick with getting good performance out of a 500 series (or any old Mac,
for that matter) is to use software of similar vintage - remember how fast
everyone said the 540c was in 1994. That's cuz they weren't trying to run
Office 98 on it!
