The 3400 has the cheapest batteries of any powerbook. That is one of the main reasons I don't "upgrade".
One thing that is very common with the 3400 PRAM battery is that when they go bad they leak. They can actually leak green stuff that travels underneath the wire insulation and can contaminate both ends of the wire that the battery's wire plugs into. If you don't check this and clean if necessary, you haven't actually replaced the PRAM battery. Also, you must make sure that your new PRAM battery is good. (There is a lot of junk floating around.) Put a voltmeter across the two wires of the battery. It should read 7.4 volts or a bit more. Greg __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
