The appletalk menu doesn't show ethernet as an option, even though the ethernet extensions are enabled. I think the 3400 and Powerbook G3 need a special driver for the factory ethernet, but I can't find it, and like an idiot I sold the spiffy system CD for it on eBay, and I have a sneaking suspicion the file I need was on it. Previously upgrading to 8.5 and then 8.6 didn't help.
