The 3400 uses a special extension for the integrated NOC/Modem Combo... From what I've been able to tell, people who reinstall their OS to a newer version and use a full install CD are fine... THose that use an upgrade CD or a CD that shipped with another Powerbook (ie the Wallstreet Install CD) will not get the proper extension installed.
