Do everything up to the sanding part. Skip this part and clean with a 1 to 1
mix of Ammonia and water. Let dry completely and then use Krylon's "Fusion",
it is new and is made for PLASTIC WITHOUT PRIMER!
Does it matter to use alcohol or the ammonia to get rid "bad stuff" still on the plastic?
Remember do not primer it.
I take it this paint has adhesive properties in it that that replace the need for primer?
Spray your color and let dry for a 24 hours and reassemble.
Does this paint cover in one coat without running or are two light coats with drying time in between better?
I have done this and its been 5 months and not one chip. I am completely satisfied with the Fusion paint. Check it out! I found it at True Value Hardware stores.
IMHO - Check to see if the color you wish to paint is in the new "Fusion" style of paint and use it instead of the primer base method. Use of this new paint technology will speed up your process by at least two days than the painting method I described.
Thanks maxtek!
