I bought an HP CD-RW unit on eBay that was supposedly for a MAC ... only to find ... there was no Mac driver for it.

I have a Yamaha 8424 CDRW (SCSI) I'd like to install in my PTP 250. My
question is: Can I add it below the existing 8x CD-ROM, or do I need to
replace the stock unit?
And if I supplement the stock unit, what do I need in the way of SCSI cable,
power cable and audio cable to connect it. The unit was supplied with no
cables of any kind.
More to the point: Is there any advantage to adding, as opposed to
replacing, that would justify even minimal extra work/risk/expense.
Thanks for your insights.
