The batteries are universal in all Mac DTs. They are 1/2 AA, 3.6 V batteries. Yes, they are available at Radio Shack. They can be a little pricey, but considering then last 8-10 years, it's not so bad. I think they are in the $3.50 to $4.50 range. Be careful, I heard of one Radio Shack guy charging like $15 once he found out from the customer that he was buying it for a computer (a Mac).

Are these batteries available at Radio Shack or Batteries Plus, or do I need to go to an Apple repair shop (we have several independent ones in this area). I expect they'll want a high ticket for these little batteries tho. Or is there a good online source for them?

Someone else pointed out powerwatch.com to me. There's a help file there that answers my question exactly. Just wanted to repeat that here for anyone that didn't already know about it!

Thx,

Allan
