A while back there was no Xpostfacto for Panther, only Jaguar. The
Panther version is out now and works on the clones or the daughtercard
CPU Macs.

I agree and I suggest keeping it at OS 9xx due to the logic board
speed, RAM speed, etc.... If you want an experience or adventure try
OS X with XpostFacto on it but X is slow on old world Macs no matter
what you do. For what a video card, larger SCSI drive and a G3 card
would cost to run OS X it would be about the same cost for a B&W G3.

The B&W's are about $100.00 and up on Ebay and is your best bet for
running OS X cheaply. You can get G3 cards cheap on the used market
now but the 225MHz 604e will do just fine with OS 9xx.
