Ginna has passive Gamma monitoring both at the RCA exit (Argos5-Zeus) and plant
egress (GEM5). We performed a study documenting sensitivity and acceptability
of these devices for passive monitoring and do not require an additional exit
WBC. ANI and INPO (05-08) have guidance on demonstrating gamma portal monitors
have acceptable sensitivity.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [powernet] Whole Body Counting Benchmark

Hi All,

I don't see a recent benchmark on this subject.

Does your site perform exit whole body counting?
If no, do you have any special documentation for passive monitoring or just
take credit for the normal RCA egress process?

For Diablo Canyon we currently do perform exit whole body counting.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving,

Linda
