Now as I don't like Epson for their needless , endless cleaning cycles, they are on top of the quality imaging aspect of inkjet printing. I've got a HP 10 PS and have only saved throwing it out the window by using BestColorProof. HP promise the world including OsX drivers that have never come. For other models that have OsX drivers they seldom work! I did an installation yesterday for a Canon 6300 non PS, and an Epson 1520 with PressReady and the results are close enough for a designer proofing to press. PressReady works fine in classic so it's not a problem. I'm working hard at ensuring OsX gets to a proven workflow, but serious printing thru Postscript is just at the very beginning under OsX. Others have had some luck in using GIMP and CUPS Unix drivers with the Epson 1520 in OsX but your mileage may vary. The paper feed problem is a hardware thing. Sometimes it's the choice of paper. Adobe PressReady had released an updater for certain models for paper feed problems just as HP had for the HP5000 and Epson for most of the models above the 5000 so it's not unique to Epson. Seems that the Epson 7600 have such a problem on paper feed that one has to set the firmware or use software fixes to avoid banding!
