Hmmm... I can only say what I've seen by others on various forums such as Best or others who have had problems with the feed on these printers. It's as you note, problems of banding caused by the uneven or incorrect paper feed. Each time Epson send out a technician they always say it's something else, yet eventually it comes down to this. What Best did to correct this is to put a % print length to measured print length control in the output section of their rip's. I don't know what other rip makers are doing.
