Also faced with the archive problem: my mac man has offered this solution: Hire a CD duplicator for $US50 p/wk. Stack my 2-300 CDs i've shot this year on one side Stack blanks on the other Press duplicate Get on with my week.
This solves my problem of low cost duplicate archiving. I have been looking at the DVD / HD / tape / server options, but for the medium term this seems to be my best option. Certainly I'd like to back up onto DVD (but we have issues as discussed) and HDs are still fragile to an extent.
