Dear Shangara, Tha advantage of shooting raw is that you get all of the data from the chip. It gives the meximum tonal range and allows you to create 16bit tiffs. Also if you get the colour balance wrong you can change it later, you also get -/+ two stops of latitude on exposure of you get it wrong on the shoot. Yes it takes longer to write to disk but when raw is too slow I do use jpeg . I shoot everything raw.
