Hi
I would be grateful to hear if anyone knows how to calibrate a monitor
connected to a notebook.
Basically we use a Nikon D1X connected to a Mac at the studio, but when we
are on location we use an ibook. The problem is that we know we cant rely on
the screen and so have decided to invest in a monitor to take with.
Sometimes though we have the odd client in such a rush that they want to
take a disc away there and then and can't wait for us to make corrections on
the Mac at the studio. We have connected a monitor but can't calibrate it
through the ibook, although both screens will be showing the same image only
the ibook will be changing colour when using the adobe gamma programme.
I rang the Apple helpline twice and both times have been told that a higher
level technician will call back as they aren't sure what to do.
If anyone could enlighten me on how we can calibrate a monitor through an
ibook then I would be most grateful even if just to hear that it can't be
done and stop wasting time! We are running mac os 9.6 by the way.
Thanks
Chris
