An agency asking for only 55mb RGB TIFFs is also not doing itself any favours. A 55mb RGB TIFF will reduce to a fraction of its size (about a sixth) when converted to a full quality JPEG. Request full quality JPEGs converted from 55mb RGB TIFFs, store JPEGs, send JPEGs and let the purchaser convert to a TIFF if they need to work on it in any way. With digital stock delivery there will nearly always be one conversion from the 55Mb Tiff to a jpeg of suitable size for transmission. I wouldn't dream of keeping my valuable drum scans as anything other than Tiffs.
