The built in filter does not really give enough control over the type of flare, intensity, colour, length of streaks, type of streak,reflection,glow and type of halo..to name a few. The photoshop filter is very basic when compared to something like Knoll's Lens flare pro (which does not appear to have an OSX version)...I actually needed it for a Vodka ad to add a slight 'zing' to the edge of the bottle, managed to do it in the taking of the photograph with very careful lighting..nearly forgot that you don't always need a computer!! I'm still interested if there are any OSX lens flare plugins for the future.. Cheers
