Hi

No problems with my cable service from NTL -- how much a month is the
1Gbit/sec service costing these days :-))

When services slow down for a while it can help to do traceroutes and pings
on a few well known servers to see if there is any increase in network
delays/losses.  There are numerous free network tools that can do these
checks. To be fair to NTL though, I've never had any reason other than
curiosity to do the checks! I believe they also provide some form of Quality
of Service software that will check your connection. However, I removed all
NTL software from my router/firewall Mac as soon as it was up and working!
