I don't know if this is relevant to many of you but I've just discovered that there is no duty to be paid on digital stills cameras OR accessories ( ie lenses if they're shipped together ) imported into Ireland from the US. You must quote tarriff no. 8525401100 to the courier and then you only have to pay the VAT at 21%. It certainly puts a whole new light on an Eos 1Ds with a load of lenses ! ....about €6,000 difference to be exact !
