I suspect the only solution is to walk into the shop with the printer ,Neil's file and a

I want to be clear that I have absolutely no issues with the dealer, Cancom. I called them yesterday to keep them up to speed and they are cool. They indicate that they will take the printer back, or swap it for an Epson. They even sent me a (nearly) full set of inks and some (Epson!!) paper and I only had to twist their arm a *bit*... :-)

The fact is that I want this printer. On paper (NPI) it shows promise and I'd like to avoid an Epson if possible. I don't think it's healthy to have such a dominant player in the market. Plus I have had plenty of Epsons over the years and I think they take the p*$$ out of their customers.

I'm hopeful of a call from Canon today, otherwise Epson here I come.
