Simon
Is there a common denominator between the two printers? Brace yourself,
humour coming up! Other than yourself and the drink! <g>
Are you using USB?
Are you using the same cable?
Are the cables faulty?
Is the USB port faulty?
Are you using a USB hub?
Is a port in the hub faulty?
I had a problem with a peripheral recently. I felt it unlikely that it would
suddenly stop working. I did some lateral thinking and decided to wiggle the
cables. When that highly technical manoeuvre didn't work, I switched ports
and, lo and behold, it worked fine.
Are you on a Windows box? Can't remember if you need to install a USB driver
for the port via the Device Manager. If you do, may be worth reinstalling
it.
