If its a CRT screen, then I have used Windolene (the transparent clear one) very successfully for years. However, do squirt just a little onto a soft cloth and then gently wipe the screen clean. Finish off with clean dry soft cloth.

Its also worked on my old PowerBook, but I am extra specially gentle with that!

As I'm a little paranoid about making the whole thing worse, has anyone on
the list got any recommendations for a good screen cleaner? There seems to
be a bewildering range on the market.. a tip of where to start would be a
great help..!
