Dear List, S1 users will know of the placebo method, whereby the 123 size batteries are replaced with a device that feeds power from the AA batteries or mains supply to the camera functions. This saves the 123s when working from the mains.
The S2 doesn't have a 123s replacement device, but will run from the mains without them. However, when working tethered, and on mains supply, the camera can not complete a capture to the computer without the 123s in place. Fuji locally have sold me a new power adpapter that is 2Amp, replacing the 1.5Amp supply I purchased with the S1. I expected the new adapter to run the camera tethered without the 123s. It doesn't. BTW, with the camera tethered, & shooting pretty much all day long, the 123s last about 4 days. I am looking for confirmation that others have found the same result. Or is it peculiar to my camera/power supply?
