I found a list of supported cameras on Adobe's web site: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html
(This includes the EOS-1Ds)

Others on the list may have had a different experience to me, but I cannot fault the 1Ds. Beautifully thought out, robust build, easy to use...picture quality is stunning! Software leaves a bit to be desired, but I'm holding out for Photoshop CS to process my RAW files.

Envious of your full frame...I find the Fuji S2 a great camera but the
piddley viewfinder makes it impossible to pick the 4 nanosecond window of
opportunity. Can't wait to upgrade to a full frame - for the viewfinder more
than the pixels but I'm sure the extra pixels will help.
I don't recall the ACR supporting the 1Ds so the chances are ACR II won't
support it either in Photoshop CS. Beta testers?....Where are you?...
