Broadband has recently arrived in deepest Hampshire and I must confess to having just ordered Broadband from BT - mainly as our ISDN line needs an engineer to visit us to change it to Broadband, plus BT switch you on, give you a usb modem plus when we move studios in 3 months switch the new address on. This is all for free. Allegedly the modem is mac 9 & 10 compatible. Our email & website is hosted elsewhere. Now the question: Currently we have networked access to the internet using ethernet & Vicom Surfdoubler in OS9 from one computer. This lets up to 3 users have internet access & will apparently work with broadband. After we move studio the internet access computer will be running OSX. In OSX can you have the same access system for all connected computers via a setup in the OS? I know that Vicom produce Internet Gateway for this purpose which includes a firewall but this may be yet another layer of complication we don't need. Obviously a router is better and we may well go down that route (sorry for the pun).
