Interestingly Calumet suddenly became rather more helpful yesterday, with a phone call from Philip King (customer service). He seemed surprised and apologetic that I had been given wrong information and said that actually Calumet will be honouring Leeds' responsibilities. Canon are having another chance at fixing the camera, but Philip assured me that if it becomes faulty again within the warranty period that he would help with obtaining a new camera. He also requested that I post this here (unsurprisingly), so here are his details if anyone else has similar issues:
