Nice to know that the memory of DOS is still alive! Did you ever use Jetsetter?
Watching all you Maccies agonising, makes me smile smugly at my XP Pro machine (also a far cry from DOS) that runs like oiled silk. The Mac sits in the corner gathering dust after I bought it an Iomega USB2 CD burner that never ackled. (It works OK on the Proper Computer, though!).

Computers and OS's are incredibly complex beasts, I'm just amazed how far they have come in such a short space of time. When you see the silky smooth rendition of the user interface in OS X 1.3, you will be gob smacked. A very far cry from, uhum, the DOS interface.
