I suggest two ways:
- Command N then go to the "window" menu and then to the name of the pict you are targeting.
- Command A, Command C on the pict then Command N, the new doc will be at the same size as the pict in the clipboard, in PS CS you may want to purge the clipboard, not sure if this is available in PS 7.
