Hi Glyn, I live round the corner from Canon UK HQ, and know them quite well up there. I had dust on a brand new Canon DSLR, I suspect it was there when I bought it. Anyway I made conatct with one of the techical people there, and took it up to them. He recommends a blower brush without the brush on. It did the job and certainly there no comment like you shouldn't try this at home.
