I have used a scanningback for over two years.
Resuilution compares to nothing else.

Handling, ease of use....just to bad compared to any modern back!!
Exposure times in studio, small setup, lots of light(HMI that is, NOT tungsten)...1-5 minutes.
Exposures outside Studio :-(

If resolution is what you are after, go for it.
If you are a creative, working photographer.....dont!!

I wonder if you have forgotten the well regarded Better Light scan backs
Use almost the whole 4"x5" screen area, large range of selectable file
sizes from tiny up to huge. Very well built, excellent factory support
and efficient software.

Y'know, I thought they had gone out of business until I checked out their
site on the web. I guess they are a viable alternative if you shoot tungsten
or florries.
Who is their dealer in the UK? Factory support's all very well, but
California's a long way away and how would you get a demo?
