Perhaps I shouldn't have been so hasty with my previous reply.

This is a query I posted on the C1 support forum................

<<I have been having a problem with C1. I use Image Info Toolkit to add IPTC info to TIFF files. IIT has a batch facility but it will not work on C1 Tiffs. My only workaround is to open the files in PS and save in another folder, delete the originals and then move the new files into the old folder. Seems like a recipe for a disaster if I delete the wrong folder!

This is the reply I got from the IIT programmer:-

It is Capture 1 which causes the problems, because it makes a multiframe tiff out of your normal tiff file, as it is not able to write the thumbnail image on the position within your tiff file which is reserved for it. So IIT does not know which tiff image to use for storing of the information and should give you an error message. Photoshop simply deletes this second tiff file and everything is o.k. again.>>

Since then IIT has issued an update to deal with this problem but I would still like the option to get all my Tiffs to the same level of Photoshop compatability.

What are MultiFrame TIFFs?

Also known as Multi Page TIFFs, I believe. It is a method of having a TIFF
file contain more than one image.
