That might slow things down. I tend to have subfolders of images for each shoot - so maybe 500MB - 1GB per folder and like William find that it does it in picoseconds!

Perhaps 12GB is taxing it too much? Maybe there is just a sensible limit?

I suppose it depends on your backup system as well - If you save to CD then create caches of folders that are 650MB in size; if DVD then 4.2GB's worth? Just a suggestion.
