I have just had exactly the same issues with two Mirror RAIDED Lacie Big Discs. I used Disk Warrior downloaded from their site to solve the problem. However, it happened subsequently, so I have updatted the Lacie Firmware and now split the RAID into separate drives synchronised using ChronoSync as recommended by Jack Lowe.
It is VERY worrying that Lacie discs from different photographers are experiencing the same issues. I still want to know WHY this is happening, not just how to cure it. Is it Apple or Lacie?
