Thanks, I haven't got any issues with speed (yet!), PS is running as fast as I need, so I don't think the hard disk speed is causing the problem. A normal save of this 140Mb file takes around 1 to 1.5 seconds. I have heard previously of the open file browser causing slowdowns or hangs but that hasn't been a problem for me. I don't have the PSB/large file format enabled as I have never had a file over 500 or so Mb. I have found that closing and reopening PSCS now allows me to save my previously "unsaveable" file.
