Yunno, I cut my fingers on glass plates in the early 1960's, bin 5x4,
rollfilm etc. through the years, but I just cannot believe the quality I
now get from my D100 and D70. I used to worry about the sharpness from 120
slides or negs scanned then printed to A4 full bleed litho. The Nikons
absolutely hose anything I ever had from film (10 x 8 may be a different
story). I apply everything I learnt from film in the last 40 odd years,
then what I picked up from scanning and software over the last 14, and I'm
still amazed at what I can produce without ever taking the film to the
Chemist!!
