[PRODIG] Ledger-size Scanners?

I looked at Epson's site for information on their 1640XL ledger sized 
scanner and saw that they are out of stock except for refurbs. Does 
anyone know if they are being dropped or replaced? I'm thinking of 
going large format for the next reflective scanner and leave film to 
dedicated film scanners.
