Hi list. Today I was shooting tethered with my Canon EOS 1Ds. Everything looked fine on my PC, shots showed up in Capture One (version 3.5) as thumbnails and I checked some for sharpness etc. When I was back at the office I copied the files from the laptop to my workstation. To my surprise many shots were missing!! I was shooting portraits and in two cases all images of the person were gone! I had seen the shots while shooting!
The sessions were with pauses and I always reconnected in Capture One when I turned the camera back on (or rahter when I woke it up from sleep). I also checked if I accidentally 'moved' files on the PC but there was no trace of the files anywhere. Then I thought that maybe a bad Firewire connection had caused the camera to write the files to the CF card but the files were not there either. Has anyone had this happened to them while shooting tethered? I am very uneasy with this, thankfully the shoot wasn't very important or hard to redo, but even so this is not good...
