Michael Lyson CIS (Fotonic Inks) are the ones I use. The system pays for itself very quickly (I use it on a 2100 - and changing 7 Epson Inks is a costly business - I have heard it said that they are more expensive than platinum!!)
I bought mine from Marrutt - John Read there is extraordinarily helpful, and has helped if things go wrong (my printer was faulty not the CIS.) <http://www.marrutt.com> You will need a new profile once you have installed it - the inks have different responses to Epson inks. I think it will be fine for you with the 1270 although I have mostly heard about 1290 and 2100 uses. regards Richard Earney -- www.method-photo.co.uk Quoting Michael Wilkinson: > I only use it for handing out "contact sheets" produced in Thumbs plus of > work going out > on CD. > Id like to reduce overall ink costs,Epson's prices are outrageous. > Clearly a continuous system would be best. > Im after hands on experience if possible =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
