Thomas Knoll - he of Photoshop fame and of even more interest the man who got so sick of Canon's RAW converter that he wrote his own (Camera RAW) says that for cameras with non-square pixels (Fuji S2) up-rezing by 1 size is a positive benefit for these cameras.
He also says there is a different algorithm used for the Camera RAW uprez than the Bicubic Smoother but they give essentially the same results. (Maybe Camera RAW is marginally better). I have used the max uprez facility in Camera RAW and found it very useful to give me 144Mb files that can be printed very large. With the sizes in Camera RAW the max rez from a D60 is the same as a 1Ds (I think) but obviously the 1Ds is starting from a larger base. regards Richard Earney -- www.method-photo.co.uk Quoting Shangara Singh: > It was 7/9/04 7:59 pm, when Keith Cooper wrote: > > > If I remember correctly, the resizing in Camera Raw is using specific > ratios and techniques based on individual sensor sizes.
