At the risk of a me to post I have to say that you're absolutely right. Originally DIG was a very freewheeling, free thinking, anarchic group of like minded photographers at the cutting edge of digital imaging. A great many members were damn good photographers and meetings were vigorous and fun. Most of the meetings continued in the pub. Prodig started well but now seems to have fallen in quality to the point that few long term members, including myself, rarely post. The group now consists of a few dedicated posters and a lot of wannabees who contribute little. Posts often now consist of my inkjet head is blocked or where is the cheapest DSLR. A few months ago there was a lot of off list traffic between a few longer term members about the future of Prodig and in which I mooted that there either should be an minimum entry level to Prodig or that a new list should form which had an entry requirement (such as earning 80% of your income from imaging). Any takers? Personally I miss Inno - he was the last spark of amusement we had!
