Regarding this 'Microsoft does updates without user permission" thing ... I can find two recent instances, in 2007 and 2009 and both seemed to be where it was the Windows Update service itself that was updated without user intervention. I can't find any instances since then, and given the army of people out there with Wireshark who check this sort of thing, if there were we'd hear about it.
So - can anyone complaining about how evil MS are provide any examples of updates taking place when the user has specifically said not to update, since 2009? Otherwise I call FUD. -- Alan Bourke alanpbourke (at) fastmail (dot) fm _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
