This update was auto-installed on a Win XP box that had updates set to 
"Notify me but don't auto download or install them."

One day, no problem connecting to a Samba server. Next day, it was as if 
the server was physically gone. The fix was very simple...just changing 
from "no" encryption on passwords to "yes"...but it took me over an hour 
to find the solution searching and reading on Google links.
