And I see my distro (Fedora) just released an updated Samba in
reaction to a recent MS Patch:

"Windows security patch KB2536276 prevents access to samba shares
Security update to 3.5.10, fixes CVE-2011-2522 and CVE-2011-2694"

So, if you're having trouble reaching Windows SMB shares from Linux,
it looks like you should check your distro for updates.
