What tweaks do you use?

File system is ext3.

I am no expert on SAMBA or Linux, and I didn't set this up. But looking at the smb.conf file on the file server, I don't see anything that looks particularly unusual. It defers to the domain for some security controls.

If CentOS had any specific tweaks to make this work better, I wouldn't know.

The domain server uses ClearOS, which is a flavor of CentOS designed specifically to provide a SAMBA-based NT domain. I know even less about that setup.

I just got a new assistant to do help-desk stuff so I should have more time in the future to learn more about this.
