I think the biggest issue is that these manufacturers are providing home and not pro. There are certainly issues with 10 that need to be dealt with like security stopping writing to program files. I used to write ini files there but now use app data. Otherwise I don't think there is much in 10 to be afraid of. And VFP runs fine on it except for the look. VFP windows look a bit old in the dev.
