Earlier today I was reading on CIO's take on how long to jump into Vista. I was reading their reasons, and a hard drive encryption that they can activate seems to be a huge "risk". Intended for the Laptop was stolen, how do you stop the thieves from gaining access to the data/files on board it. So as a second guess M$ is by default stating that EVERYTHING is M$ driven, then the "oh shit this stolen machine is trashed" doesn't bother them. But if dude had both M$ and ?nix and M$ took out the ?nix it only leads to hard press. Not to mention the hard press when laptop is dropped and you turn it on and it whacks itself.
