FWIW, I run VFP9 SP1 daily on a dual-core Intel at work, and I haven't had problem one. I doubt very much that dual-core would be an issue with something like VFP.
Gaming is indeed a driver for dual-core, but not to any huge extent as of yet (not in the PC world anyway, consoles have had multiple CPU setups for years).
