Well, things didn't quite go the way we planned, but we did finally get a break.
Steve was approved by the bank today as the owner-builder. That is supposed to mean that they will start releasing cash to us to finish the house. We've gone for almost two months now without being able to get a single dime in draws on our construction financing, and that's been incredibly tough for us. The garage plans had to go back and forth a couple of times to the county planning department, so the backhoe will be here to dig the footings for the garage on Tuesday the 8th. We were supposed to already be living in the house at this point. Now we have to figure out how to get it done as quickly as possible. Our loan actually ends on 5/30, and it isn't likely we'll make that date. But we're sure going to do our best. You never know; it can still happen, and if it can we would sure like to do it.
