So what you are saying is that my employer should judge me on my 
performance, or lack thereof. What I'm saying: if what I'm doing on my 
personal time is affecting my job performance, fire me on the basis of 
my job performance.

But don't assume that my drug use, my sex life, my religious servitude, 
or lack thereof, is an indicator of job performance. It makes for easy 
tick-offs on a triage form, but if you are looking for talented and good 
people, it is meaningless.

Then again, if you want to make such judgments, then that is an 
indicator *to me* about what jobs to go for and which to stay far, far 
away from.
